IT'S A BOY

We are happy to announce that Baby Gunnels 2007 is going to be a BOY. We are so excited as we anticipate the new arrival of our son/brother. At first, I was a little apprehensive about raising a boy. Immediately, my thoughts went to playing football and getting hurt. Mac has assured me that we have time to make that decision. We have decided to name him Brantley Mcswain. For those of you who may not know, Brantley is my maiden name and Mcswain has been passed down through many generations on Mac's side. It will be interesting to see the differences between a boy and a girl. I already have an extensive reading list ahead of me. UPDATE; In late June, we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday with friends at a nearby restaurant. We got back a few weeks ago from a wonderful time at Edisto, SC. We met some family down there and had an absolute blast. We are overwhelmed by the blessings that God continues to encourage us with. Mac is gearing up for another busy year at North Raleigh in addition to seminary classes at night. He is taking 2 this semester, so we will need some extra prayer, as we will be continuing to rearrange things to fit another wonderful boy in here. I am continuing to plug along with Pampered Chef. This summer has been slow, but that was of course the working of the Lord as I have been pretty sick. It has tailored off to just a few evenings a week that I am out of commission and I have given in to taking medicine for that. Vivian is growing and changing everyday. It seems like Mac and I are rolling with laughter at something she says or does everyday. She is very annimated... I wonder where she gets that from..hehehe... we are both incredibly annimated. She didn't have a chance. We will try to capture some of it on movie to share. She starts preschool the first week in September. They have a wonderful 2 day program that I think she will enjoy immensely at a church nearby. We hope everyone is doing well.

Summer Fun!

There are so many fun things we have had the opportunity to be involved in. I wanted to share a glimpse of our trip to the North Georgia Mountains at the family's lake house with Nana and Papa Dan, a quick visit in Charlotte and then TONS of fun at Vivian's 1st 2nd birthday party. Yes, we are doing 2... one for the neighbors and one for other friends. This one was held at my parent's house and everyone had a great time. Baby Gunnels 2007 note: we went to the doctor today and the baby is doing great. We are going to take a look next visit on whether it's a boy or girl. 4 more weeks! I am starting to feel a little better with a little more energy, so that is VERY refreshing.

BIG News!

Hello Everyone!
We really wish we could call each of you and tell you our big news, but we have had a tremendous amount going on around the house. First of all, Mac has been finishing up a wonderful school year at seminary and North Raleigh Christian. On top of that, he has picked up some extra chores and stuff around the house, as Dawn has been incredibly nauseous and unbelievable tired. HMMMMM! When did that happen before? Oh, when she was pregnant with Vivian! Well, our big news is that we are adding on to our family again. The Lord has blessed us with "Baby Gunnels 2007". I am 8 weeks 3 days preganant as of today. We had our first ultrasound and the baby is so healthy. The baby is the size of a Kidney bean and just growing beautifully. The heartrate today was 171. So, nice and strong.. praise the Lord. Vivian is working on helping out more and more around the house.. she LOVES to help. It is such a cute thing. She has recently started saying, "Come here, Mommy". Cracks me up everytime. I know she will make an excellent big sister. We would love your prayers as we go through this process again. The doctor is already doing all kinds of "fun" tests to make sure everything is plotting along nicely. We are praying for no gestational diabetes this time. If it's the Lord's will, we gladly welcome the lesson. Also, I am working hard to maintain a healthy eating and diet regiment. Last time, I lived on McDonald's and Chick-fil-a. It helps to have a much tighter budget. Mac and I couldn't be more excited. My due date is Dec. 31st.. FUN! NEW YEAR'S EVE!

Mother's Day Tea and Fun times!

We had a small gathering of friends and their daughters come to my mom's house for tea. It was such a prissy, wonderful event. Vivian was just so excited to be in her pretty dress eating and drinking tea with friends. She was laughing incessively (especially, when they all started playing with Barley, my parent's dog). It was priceless. She really got into the whole tea thing. Here are some pictures from our fun time. People who attended: Michaella and her two daughters: Emmalee and Carrie, Stephanie and her daughter Anna Kate (Akate as Vivian would say), and My mom, me and Vivian. We filled my mom's table. It was delightful! My mom did a stand up job! Thanks Mom!

I still have not figured out how to post pictures and talk about them. So, the othe good times you are seeing are when we went to visit my lifelong friend, Dana. I am getting teary even writing this as her husband is being stationed in Japan and they are all moving next month for 3 years. I will miss them terribly, but I am so thankful we had one last blast together before they go. Mackenzie (Dana's daughter) has a plentiful dress up wardrobe. Her grandmom lives near Disney! So, Vivian was having a blast dressing up in her different princess outfits (and Minnie Mouse .. the red on) So, we of course bonded over shopping and "Aunt Dana" bought Vivian her very own Cinderella dress up while we were out. Oh my goodness, Vivian was so excited. We went home and both girls put on their outfits and it was a hoot watching them twirl and sing. Soooo fun!
